These are all homogenous, but quality.

i agree they are all very similar, but if it were just the one, i would give it 9/10 of ten for atmosphere, very worth listening to. great job!

The mood created by those pieces was excellent. The sound and performance were very acceptable as well.

On the downside, the music was somewhat 'static', in terms of melodic and harmonic material.

Thanks for posting!

Hey all you critics- ever heard of the Satie Gymnopedies? All purposefully written as variations, to sound much the same and evoke the same mood, and people LOVE those pieces.

But I can't hear the guitar pieces above because the links are bad, so what do I know?

Good work! I loved the veiled tonality of the pieces, it reminded me of some modern tango composers.

Torsten,

I liked very much your music. I think because it takes me to a place, and because it sounds genuine.

Your music touched me. I like the utilitation of frigian modes on guitar as you used, I felt it was connected to the spirit of flamenco and brazilian folk may be, like I've heard on Gismonti music.

It surprised me, because i've entered to the page were the liks are, and i found that is in german may be?

Can you post more? I really enjoy it!

Thank you.

Kind Regards

Bruno

The pieces are very nice, but I don't see how they are "avant-garde" :X "Avant-garde" is french for "front guard", and in art it would be a piece that's pushing what we consider "music" to its limits. Examples of "avant-garde" music would be the works of Boulez, Stockhausen or Rihm. I don't think those pieces would be considered avant-garde even 50 years before they were written.

Now, concerning the pieces, they have a very brazilian feeling, in terms of rhythm, harmony and melody (as well as instrumentation - guitar is usually the only string instrument in traditional brazilian music). They are pretty pleasant to listen to, but I think the bass lines could be used to provide more "full" sound.
