Axis Corporation Theme

Axis Corporation Theme.

Indy game corp (by a group of gamers) theme for the game that I've been working on.

Like always, Epic Orchestral / Choral

Start Player

Enjoy.

Well, you're lucky I am a nice guy. :) The link you provided didn't work for my computer so I had to listen to this piece on your Myspace. Most people won't do this so you might want to consider changing your link. So, was tracking this song down on your myspace worth it? Actually, yes, and that's saying something since I hate Myspace. It seemed very militant and definetly gave off a feeling of power grandiose (albeit in slightly cliche ways). It was a little more ambient then I would have liked and its melody wasn't very memorable but none the less, it depicts a huge, powerful, possibly sinister corportaion very well.

Actually with myspace's quality, the good audible frequences are also trimmed off making it seem more ambient then it already is.

The link works, don't do right click method. I believe this forum automatically makes it say "Start Player" from soundclick accounts, so click on it once to open new page, and click "Play the Song".

I felt the military theme with the snare's definantly.

I didn't get the military touch with the melody.

But it was definantly "dark" or "powerful" throughout the entire song.

I like it.

I agree, there wasn't that much of a memorable melody at all...It seemed like an introdution kinda thing, and the whole time I was waiting for some awesome horn to come out and play a killer melody, but that never happened.

Other than that, it's pretty darn awesome, good job!:w00t:

This is pretty nice stuff here. Epic is right! :D

I'm a fan of the percussion in it, nice rhythm (or however you spell that), it gives the song nice movement. Might want to turn it up though.

I like the orchestration as well, also a lot of movement. Excellent use of the choirs, which I can only assume is EWQL. (personal note: must get! :whistling:). I really have no complaints on this at all.

well, sorry to say there's no snare in this piece at all, just some custom percussion, and it wasn't intended for military...

and no EWQL choir in there...

Then what choir is it?

It's good, but I think you over did it on the brass (towards the beginning), it's a little too aggressive. The trombone(?) towards the end seems at the right level. Maybe you could have a french horn playing the melody the first time around or something. I still haven't compared the two recordings yet, so i'm not sure what changed. I'll do that in a moment.

BTW, i love the change at 2:01!!!!!!!!!!!!

nm, got it to work.

Powerful indeed.

The trombone solo in the beginning seems a wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bit to loud.

It just seem's that way.

Low Brass* not trombone*

well, there's not much change, I've been meaning to up the percussion volume but just didn't feel like touching it again until Guinness suggested it again. Then I mastered it a little more this time with a new set of speakers. The part at 2:01, there is a change but it's subtle, it was originally a slower transitions. As for the horns, I actually quite like it the way it is now.

the choir is from an outdated roland source

Yu (or is it Chen?)

It sounds very nice and very polished. I find that it's very well mixed and that it simply works. The harmonic progression is very nice as well, although a bit clich

Epic? Yes. I like the choirs. And the effects, what were those? Those breathing sounds.

Overall it sounds very nice. I particularly love the brasses. :)

yah, nikolas, I'm that same guy that was at the wrong place at the wrong time

oh well, anyway, thanks for the comments

Believe it or not, even though the percussion may sound like it's looped over and over again, it's actually a little different every other clause, but the main structure still stands.

The breathy sound is your good old synthesizer at work, I created that patch awhile ago and been using it a lot actually.

This is sick. I love it man. No memorable melody but I will feel cool listening to this in a game. Well executed. What did you use to make it.

I agree, I like listening to this one and I think it will sound positively awesome in a game. What are the percussion instruments that you are using?

  • Author

recorded the percussion myself

Awesome, it sounds very good. What were the percussion instruments that you recorded?

  • Author

I wouldn't exactly call it them instruments... garbage cans, basketballs, and or any combination of two random objects in my garage.

YOU ARE AWESOME!! :O seriously.

If I had met you in real life we'd probably be good friends. :)

EDIT: I see you're also a fan of Harry-Gregson Williams.

Haha, that depends on how you are :P, but I'm sure we would be.

What did you use to make this? What program if any? The sounds themselves are amazing. Oh, and check out my The Lucid song on this page. Would be great to have some feedback from you.

Laters.

yah, I'm probably not a good choice to give feedbacks, I've have many terrible experiences with it... but I did listen to it though.

Only fair to give feedback when given feedback.
