Wow, cool...surprisingly agitated.

It didn't expect some of the outburts of fury.

But then, it had some moments of quiet...even mystery.

I take it you play the piano becuase it looks like something that would be fun to play.

One weird thing was that I expected a repeat of the theme's first statement just like how you repeated the first variation.

Also, it didn't 'hook' me all the way through but started losing my interest towards the end. Maybe that's because the superstrucure is rather simple ( a sequence of variations) there wasn't much modulation and later varations started to resemble earlier ones a bit.

Overall, fun piece though.

Thanks for posting!

This is a really fine set of variations with some very musical and emotionally evocative moments. Since the piece is over 15 minutes long, it might benefit from modulations to related keys as the previous poster commented. The change to G major is good but comes after many variations in G minor although some are chromatic.

I really enjoyed listening to this music. Thanks for sharing.

Wow I really think you are very talented. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I saw the first theme I thought - "oh, this is going to be pretty boring... A basic 3-chord theme and a couple of variations on it." But you really manage some great variations both rhthymically and melodically based on those same 3 chords (or pretty much). The only gripe I have is that perhaps the piece went on too long - I too got a bit bored after a while and stopped listening about half way through. But I really think that if any other top pianist/composers were asked to come up with some variations on the original theme you stated they would be lucky to do much better!

Thank you for your commentaries ... it is true the work needs of modulations, These they are the first variations that I have written, It I expect to make the close time better

thanks...have a nice day:thumbsup:

midi.. post midi too... :) there are plenty people like me who don't know how to read the score and do not use Finale or Sibelius :)

Try getting a hold of Finale Notepad - it is free software which allows you to play back .mus files. The only problem is I think you have to register your email address to download it :(

When this first started, I figured oh no another boring study done in 1/4 notes. Then you go wild with the material. Some of it is probably unplayable, but it sounds neat.

I look forward to hearing more of your works.

Just a couple of hints. Longer pieces tend to bore many here. Try for 4-5 minutes and you will have more luck. Also it helps to comment on other people's works and most of the time they will return the favor.

Keep it up

Ron

Please, next time write the lenght of the piece.. If i knew it's going to be so long, I wouldn't listen to it ;)

The piece is very smooth and cosequent wich is nice, and very simple.. the melody is simple i mean. ) Wich is also good for general public, but bad for composers
