The Colors of Autumn

Featured Replies

Hello everybody. I'm new here, and I'm posting my first solo piano piece. I wish I had a story about how I was inspired by the autumn leaves falling down, etc., but the story behind this song is actually kind of lame.

I was at a family gathering, and got bored, so I went to the electric piano, plugged in headphones, and started improvising around. I really loved some of the ideas that I had come up with, so when I returned home, I combined and developed them into a more complete piece. The title "Colors of Autumn" just comes from some words that popped into my head when I was playing one of the melodies - Look at all; look at all the pretty colors; in the fall- and "autumn" just sounds cooler than just "fall".

I haven't done sheet music for this yet, since it was just developed as I was playing, but I think I'm going to give it a shot in the near future. Anyway, here's the track, hope you enjoy it.

The Colors of Autumn

Hmmmm, kinda more rhythmic than what I would imagine for an autumnal piece. Its ok, but not really my style. Might sound good turned into an electronica song.
