start of a piece

Featured Replies

This is a start of a piece your working on.

tell me what you think.

i'm also thinking of a name.

those left hand octaves you add after the very beginning just sound a little awkward (EDIT: it's fine I like it as is after listening, but try adding something and see what you think) so maybe what you should do is add a chord right after the mannheim rocket.. a chord that includes a second and a third maybe to give it color.. because to have an octave and then a triad is a little too questionably traditional. and in terms of the melody, I added a midi myself..tell me what you think of this.. i gave the melody to pizzicato strings and tried to add orchestration but it wound up being terrible so just ignore the winds and stuff.. i threw in a melody at the end

(btw the trudging left hand thing doesn't fit at all)

It didn't come out very good, but it may have given you an idea hopefully.

it makes me think of some kind of lunar exploration

asdff.MID

When the left hand part comes in under the octave runs... maybe you could try starting each note at the end of an octave (at the beginning of a bar) instead of at the beginning? Just an idea.
