My EPIC MUSIC PIECE, War For Tempus

Well hello everyone!

This is my first post... an hopefully not my last... :)

I was asked to do this Music piece for a fantasy game, I tryed to evoke the feeling of middle earth, and bring up the whole fantasy-epic-war concept. Quite a challenge though, not sure if I acomplished that. But i Put a lot of heart and hard work to it.

It s a very changing piece because it goes along with a great 3d Video sequence for the opening credits of the game. Showing the lands of TIER and their magnificent views, and then start showing the knights in there settlement, ending with heroic and wonderfull fight scenes of tension charged times, of course this company has great talented artists who came up with this whole idea. So you can guess on how much pressure i was, becuase I have to catch up with them in terms of quality, wich wasn´t easy at all :)

I really liked it... It didnot let me stunned, but I really enjoyed it.

The beginning reminds me a lot of the music of Requiem for a Dream... heh

I like the way the theme changes it. And of course the way the whole "mix" sounds... (for example., how the percussion sounds etc)

Anyway awesome work, keep it up!!!

I liked it, but I've got some questions...

What program did you use? Finale, or Sibelius. If it was Finale, how did you get the percussion to work so well??

Did you get any ideas from Age of Empires II? It reminds me of the opening video; you may have unintentionally copied something.

I just have a quick question. What exactly is that metal squeaky noise called that you use around the halfway mark. I hear it every now and then in other things but I never knew what you'd call it. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm a newbie here
