My first ever symphonic work

Hi I am totally new to this forum, and this is my second post.

My first ever symphonic work, made in a program called Reason. Its a piano, some violin and pizzicato samples. The thing is that none of this notes is produced by me actually playing the piano, its merely written inside a sequencer by the help of a mouse..therefore some copy/paste and a little unatural sounding. It was done 6 years ago (when I was 18), still im unexperienced making this type of music, but I have saved it as a few of the songs I have left from that time. Just thought it might be interested to have anyone listen to it...finally:w00t:.

In addition I add my second ever symphonic work...just piano this time, but a little more dramatic and not so enthusiastic. Someone actually downloaded this, remade it and made film-music out it...

Hello, and welcome to young composers. I liked both of you pieces, but the first one ist best. Remember to post midi files of you work, so other ppl can look and analyze you work and give you a detailed comment.

Your html is .no? are you norwegian?

I really like the first one. It would be super if you could perhaps get a pdf up or something.

The thing is i dont have either midis, notes or projectfiles for these songs. this is from my homepage i made some years ago, but all my work from this time disappeared with my old computerdrive. i guess you have to figure them out by just listening...i am sorry.

I must say that the piece you entitled blue sky was a very nice thought out composition..it made great emotions in me, that beautiful violin melody or string melody I give it a thumbs up!! great job jarlb..by the way, what are the instruments for the piece?

The instruments are regular grand piano, samples of stradivarius violin and violin-pizzicatto added reverb (too much). Thank you for nice and generous comments. I think I had the inspiration for this melody from some british real/animated cartoon-series I was watching while I was a child. Dont remember the name though, but it was about some lady telling the stories of some animals acting and dressing humanly in an early 1930's british farm location. The music in this cartoon was beautiful.

Im happy to say that I managed to retrieve the file for the "bath in the blue skies"-piece. I remembered I had put the original file out on a music community site related to the program I was using, and managed to find it again.

This is a rare moment when YoungComposers got an incredibly talented composer..) I would really like to listen to more of your pieces.. Just great - very new, very fast and young music, I'm looking forward to to listen to more of your works. :)
