black wounded bird

a memory of a fight

(since metal is branch of rock, and doom is branch of metal, and, well, it's just sound metal to me  )

this should be in the avant-garde and electronic section.

doesn't really sound metal to me at all, to me it's more a mix of d'n'b, breakbeats, noise(core) or even techno at some points. it's done well though, but you might have relied just a tad too much on the effects though.

what did sequencer did you use? i'm guessing either reason or ableton, i might be wrong :).

good job, i like agressive, 'full' sound.

hmmm I'm not really sure what to do with this. its hard to wrap my head around this one because it just doesn't really seem very musical or coherent to me...like the stuff between mars volta songs...but i guess in that respect this is mighty fine

not very musical or coherent? i see, care to elaborate?

i just mean that it feels like a bunch of sounds sort of thrown together...i don't get that its supposed to be music....it just seemed like a disjointed grouping of sounds...i mean not that there is anything wrong with that ...its just what i meant

Very interesting! I agree with robertn that it didn't sound very metal to me. The way the music lacked structure and a rhythmic center reminded me of something Squarepusher would write (which isn't a bad thing, I like Squarepusher).

I think you made a very good use of space but I would have liked to hear more variations with your noises. Good stuff!

to me it was a blending of drone doom - and it could be in between metal and avantgarde - music (for the sound i used fruity loops slayer keys, which is a guitar simulator).

it's fast, but it's monotonic (except for a break near the last fight), but that's why it's a black wounded bird, i just imagined big black crow with wounded wings, fighting for it's last flight. i thought it metal for its emotional character, doomed, yet like sisifus, trying pointlessly and finding 'point' in that.at some point i used falling pitch generated sounds, like gloria coates does, who's music always reminds of dizziness and falling.

yeah, and i do like squarepusher, though i didn't had anything in mind about his way of music while creating this. i think i'm fatter than tom :))
