Viola & Piano

Slow melody for Viola and Piano (treble clef only) tell me what you think :)

Hi there,

I don't have too much to say here, you've done a fairly good job. Your harmonies still sound a little weird to me at times but the piece is nice and flows well. The viola has a very nice part but I think the piano part would benefit from some more to do. I realize it's a difficult instrument to write for sometimes but this piece would be great if you had the piano do something more; it's very repetetive and uninspiring.

Watch out around 1:30, you've got 2 violas playing, you can't do that with a single one. 2:30 presents us with a very welcome change in the melody....briefly, perhaps you could consider expanding that a bit? Your best piano part follows, that was nice. Then you've got us going all tense, expecting something which doesn't really come. You end the piece well otherwise though, it's odd but it works and I enjoyed it.
