The Connor Berge Rhapsody

Featured Replies

This took me sooo long to make. It would be really really nice to hear some feedback. :) Was almost featured on KCME radio station, but stupid issues got in the way. It is more of a film score than anything. Hope you like it! :)

The link doesn't work for me. =/

It was very nice. I found some of it a little redundant, but it works.

The "composing by Connor Berge" thing didn't really do it for me. The idea however, and the way it was incorperated, might work in a movie, if the words were a little more relevant... maybe... outside film and just as a piece it don't think it really belongs.

Good job. Keep it up.

PS. it is nice if you don't post the same piece in multiple places. choose one category and put it there ;)

PPS. The more people that you respond and review, the more other will look at your stuff. (Just a bit of forum manners...)

Yeah I like it. The harmony did repeat itself often, but not to the point that it was truly annoying. Like DeadChicken said, it would work in the movie business. But when someone is listening just for the sake of listening, variety might be better.

Kill the "composing by Connor Berge" thing. That is truly annoying. It distracts from the actual music and irritated me(I hope I'm not the only one).

I loved the percussion, it was exciting. Violin part was good, even though it was repetitive (it would be better with variations).

I liked the music.....really repetative for my taste, but again would work REALLY well for movies...and thats what you want to do soo i guess it works. I mean i love the perccussion and stuff its all very nice, just not my cup of tea.

AND OMG!! "composing by Connor Berge" - PLEASE KILL THAT. THAT was annoying.

but...

Overall very nice. Congrats.

Scott.

This has so much potential. Especially for a film score.

Keep developing it more, past where the brass came in.

I continue with the 'composing by Connor Berge' complaint. Is that supposed to be part of the music or just to prevent someone from stealing your piece?

Hah. I like repetition, a lot, but it has to be built on, varied, augmentation, anything.

Add, subtract. I know you did that with the percussion, but some instruments would be nice too.

Very interesting! I will try not to say too much about the repetitiveness, as I'm sure you get the idea that it could be fixed. The rhythms are excellent, and so are the ideas that you're trying to put in here.

As for the random 'voice-ins', I would definitely try to make it more relevant. A simple example that I have is military radio. For some reason your piece reminds me of the Transformers score, and it would go really well with some military speech in there, such as "Ready for take-off..." or whenever your music starts to build up and right before it explodes, put a voice-in, "Fire when ready..."

I don't know, use your imagination. But great job! :-)

Haha. Thanks. Yeah, that stuff was in there just so people wouldn't steal it, as I am planning on selling it. :) Thanks for the remarks! I love input! Ill work on it. :D
