My Choir:

Is now a small female vocal group :( Thats ok though, they are a good bunch of girls.

So, there are 6 of them right: 2 who have history with music, 2 who think they have, and 2 who have practically no idea. The thing is though that I have faith in this group, and optimism to die for (ironic?).

What do you suggest we do? Barber shop quartet + 2? If so, what songs do you recommend?

I have posted threads about my choir many many times already, but in case you havent read about it: These girls have a strong addiction to hip hop and all that pumpy stuff...oh and overexhagerated lyrics on love and loss put to a mediocre chord progression and cliche melody line. Luckily, they are also interested in blues.

What you might want to do is search on like sheet music plus or whatever and find easier works for SSA or whatever. I mean, I don't know if we can give you actually songs to sings.

ha, as if. Im sick of it. The kids at that school have no respect for ALL kinds of music, and sure, this may be a hasty generalisation...but I walked out into the main lunch court (which is outdoors)...and they have F**g rap playing full blast with their outdoor speakers...the school organises this.

Ok...so, rap is wonderful *cough*, but I can't get a choir to sing rap...and I don't think that any choirs sing rap. Or hip hop.

The school is just muscially retarded.

Off to a private school I shall go...therefore they are forced to join. Lawl.

Yes. it does exist. The example you gave is more a gospel choir than anything. I would have loved to have done something like this, but unfortunately the school is full of noobish students who would not be as enthusiastic as this negro gospel choir.
