this is really interesting music

track listing

01- first fiddle. 02- healing for the hopeless. 03- letters home.

04- and they flew. 05- sixteen chapels. 06- through the eyes of man.

I've been working pretty nonstop on an album for my band Swansaw since like January and I was starting to feel a bit of project fatigue. SO, over the past week as a bit of a break (or a RESPITE) from the album making process, I decided to finally compile a proper release for my hip hop/electronica moniker, emFrik. So here we are with this EP, Respite!

special thanks to I, Mountain(thats Teloch) for the guitars I sampled in Through The Eyes Of Man. Also my friend Introspectre for the backing vocals on Letters Home.

download! listen! critique! w/e!

here is the sordo music page for this ep!!!

Please give me whatever input/critique you feel applicable. I'm posting it here because I figure you folks at young composers can give me some nice serious musical input on this. Plus I'd like everyone and their grandma to hear it.

This music sucks like hell, but most of the idea's are good and interesting. Find a good composer and arranger en record everting like you want. This is really good stuff, but need to sort out.

A more like Sphongle mixed with The Doors. Good stuff.

I like it, the first track reminds me of Revolution 9 by the beatles, only with an actual beat and movement. Which is a good thing.

I really like the ideas, but at some points, it gets too off rythymn. I can see what you're trying to do with some of these parts, but the idea is stay on rythymn while having the beats in a seemingly offbeat, off-rythymn, un-related pattern. They sound good though, if you did some re-mixing, it could be that much better.

Nice job,
