Three sax melodies

Here's my first music posted. They are just two little impromptu melodies, discreetly acompanied on the piano. Part of the intention was to write just melodically, to avoid the think-of-an-ostinato/harmonic-structure-then-put-some-melody-on-top-of-it thing, so that the sax flows spontaneously, the piano man cares to follow...

I'll thank any coments whatsoever...

well, welcome to the forum, this is actually my first reply post. To me, the piece was a bit contrived, there tended to be a traditional tonal motion in the solo line, but the piano was altered slightly to give the piece interest, however it only seemed to detract from the rather lovely flowing organic melody, the piano should seem less like its trying to catch up and more like its following the sax's lead. this was a very enjoyable piece and i liked the fact that you were willing to try something a little more outside the box. i look forward to your future posts.

I really loved this new movement. The piano needed to be much louder, but the rhythmic treatment was spot on, the piano was in a straight up 5/8(3+2) but the solo line seemed to be an alternating 6/8 and 8/8(3+3+2) and the way they phased in and out of one another rhythmically was wonderful. I'm glad you're experimenting more with rhythm and time signatures keep it up.

About the piano volume, I'm just now beginning to deal with Sonar, so I may have these sort of problems till I get used to it.:(
