demon's awakening

Featured Replies

been long since i've done anything, musically, well except for digeridoo blowing :)

anyway, here's my new piece, which i started before leaving and just now finished.

i see it as i three segment piece, at first thought of calling it 'demon's ballet', but decided otherwise due to the fact that it would be too pompastic.

first part is strictly measured, while second is sort of improvisation.

demon of creation and destruction.

well, anyway, here it is

Ok, first of all, theres a really cool build-up on this track.. It hypnotizes but still drags your attention to the piece itself..

This track also reminds me NIN.. And that voice in the background, atthe end, is it yours?? It somehow reminded me of Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy..

Overall a really great, completed track, indeed I really liked it.. Cheers..:]

neat..

thank you both for your time and posts. sandras, yep, it's my voice..it's always strange to record your own voice, for it sounds so strange when you listen to it afterwards.

being younger i was quite a lot into NIN 'fragile' album.

I really love NIN. I think this is reminiscent of it as well, the almost machine-like sounds methodically building and building. I especially enjoy the haunting, melancholy nature of the flute-like instrument.
