Sequencer needed

Featured Replies

as in a person that could be hired to sequence a midi for myself. Anyone interested?

Probably would be best to provide more info.

What song needs to be sequenced?

When do you need it by?

How much are you willing to pay?

Give the forum more info and you might be some bites. As is, it leaves so much left unclear and many would just ignore your request.

Best of luck to you,

Nathan

thanks. its about a 4 minute concert winds band arrangement of the super mario bros theme(s). Asap. As for pay i want quotes first. I have no experience in the world of sequencing, how long it would take if i paid by the hour, what the best rate is, ect...

I'm not a lawyer, but you may want to check things out and be very clear on what your usage is for this song. The Mario theme is a copyrighted song and Nintendo isn't very open to outsiders making their own arrangements and such. I know- I tried with a saxophone quartet medley of Mario Bros themes. When I spoke to Nintendo they informed me that they have a company-wide policy of blanket rejections of all fan-based (or public) arrangements using any part of those themes.

So, what would you be wanting to do with this music? Check the legalities of all of this first, before hiring someone and taking this a step further.

Best of luck to you,

Nathan

i jsut really want it for my own listening pleasures

Then why not take this wonderful chance to learn how to better use a sequencer.

:whistling:

Although, if it's purely for personal use, why the ASAP priority??

If you just want to listen to it- then why not just order a CD that has a performance of this theme (or themes) on it. This way your supporting the music and you get to listen to something with better quality than MIDI.

Robin is also correct- if you really want to learn how to do it- then read a tutorial and get started. Can't learn unless you try!

Usually for small uses, and personal uses and such, I don't think that nintendo will ever know. Not that it's legal or that I'm encouraging anything like that. But let's face it. If you hum "let it be" then you should be paying royalties to Paul. If you play mario on the piano, simmilarly. But nothing ever happens. In fact I did make a small score of the Mario theme, for a student of mine on the piano, but it was too difficult for him to play it. I can't say that I am threatened to get Nintendo on my doorstep.

On the other hand, Nathan and Robin are both correct. Get reaper, or audacity, and play it. Try it out. Try you ears and your hands and your mind. How else WILL you learn? ;)
