Modern Nocturne For String Orchestra. Op.101

Featured Replies

Woo Just finished A New Piece, so here it is, It's very simple in it's idea but a litle tricky for the players.

It seems to end rather abruptly.. It would be great to hear the themes developed more. Also, on the trills, in playback I hear a half step trill, but you should specify it on the score. By the way, this won't be tricky at all for professionals (I'm not sure which players you meant, though.) Overall, I like the ideas. Good work!

no mp3? I use Sibelius dude, and apparently it didn't like how you formatted the last page, I got an error when I tried to convert the .mus file.

Here is a more later version

This I assume was not composed in Notepad, so you must have the capability of making a MP3 for those of us that do not have Finale.

I did listen to it using Notepad, but that sucks having to listen to those crappy samples. How about a link to a MP3?

As far as I listened (I can't handle notepad for long) it sounds good.

the version here is just for a project in world history , after that i'm going to work on the piece making it longer, the 1st movement is the ominoius presence of battle, and the 2nd is the beauty of the battle and the last is the after math.

also will add a explamation to my post for fun.

These sounds are much better than Notepad, but not by much. I take it you have an older version of Finale.

Regardless, I can handle it much better.

You do have some real nice spots in this that could easily be developed further.

I look forward to the finished product.
