Matthew Becker
Howdy, YC. I'm interested in how many of you actually have your own blog (or website). I'm trying to set up a blogroll where many of the links come from fellow composers or songwriters to help establish more relevant links. While I do have links on my site, most of them are not from bloggers or composers at all. If interested, drop a link here and I'll add it to the blogroll. Here's my link if interested (mxpress.ca). Thanks, all. :)

Marius
Hang on, I'm hoping I've misunderstood something here...you're asking people to help you attract readers to your site by volunteering THEIR time to keep the site looking up-to-date, WITHOUT any compensation? If it's your site, then what are YOU doing? I'm a bit lost. Why would anyone want to advertise their work on the site of another composer? And, more obviously, why would YOU want any other composers showing off their work on your site? That may attract readers but the poor suckers are going to get a totally fragmented showcase that completely obliterates any hope for a distinct impression of YOU. What happens if someone who's better than you starts writing up blogs? Then their work will be the first thing visitors see and then who's the site really working for? I'm sure I've gotten something wrong along the way, because I can't imagine that making any logical sense as I've understood it. EDIT: OP has changed purpose of thread and original post, so my concerns are now conclusively invalid. :)
