November 1, 200817 yr Ive been listening to a lot of nirvana lately and this is my song i came up wiht the inspiration of there dead notes its kinda grunge Nirvana Inspired Song.mid
November 1, 200817 yr Well, first off, it sounds nothing like Nirvana. I don't mean to be rude but it's true. Secondly, it sounds very much random and at the same time, all very same-ish. The clean guitar plays random notes while the distorted guitar plays out of place chords. There doesn't seem to be any kind of coherency between the two parts. But, despite those two complaints, there were some alright moments and overall, it wasn't entirely horrible. The opening ten seconds, I thought were kind of carchy and would be a nice introduction with some polishing. But both guitars need to be cleaned up majorly. It really doesn't seem like you put much thought into this piece. On an unrelated note, you really, really, really need to start contributing to this forum more. You post a new thread in what seems like every week and every other day, you're on the shoutbox bugging people to listen and then whenever you do get any advice, you don't listen. My advice is either comment on other people's songs or don't post so many threads because honestly, it's very annoying.
November 1, 200817 yr Author thanx for review can you brush it up and send it to me at bbenman5@gmail.com
November 1, 200817 yr It's not too bad, and I actually thought some o fthe melodies were kind of Nirvana-esque. Not really the best band to be studying for anything but marketing prowess, but hey, to each his own. I actually really liked the repeating riff and the almost grindcore-like chords. ... it's very annoying. So's policing something that is a lot more prevalent in the regulars.

You say you don't mean to be rude but that was a hella mean thing to say. Be more considerate man, don't kill them over posting their music.
November 2, 200817 yr *Sigh* Wow, did not expect this to become a flame war. I'm not sure why I'm defending myself right now since I don't really have to but because I'm bored, I might as well. 1) I don't have a problem with people promoting their music... unless that's ALL they do and contribute absolutely nothing else to the forum (look at all his posts... only 1 or 2 posts outside his own threads). Also, he gets on the shoutbox just about every night, contributing nothing to the conversation and continually plugging his work. Yes, I know a lot of people do it and they annoy me just as much. This is not the first time I've scalloped at someone for over self-promotion and it will not be the last. 2) I was not flaming, I was being constructive and bluntly honest with him. He scallopes about no one listening to his music all the time. 3) If I seemed rude, it's because this is not the first time I've told him this. It's probably not even the tenth. He just doesn't seem to listen. I've been nice about it for about two months so excuse me if I seem a tad perturbed by now. 4) With all due respect, Corbin, you're the last person to be telling someone else what can and can not be said in posts. Besides which, I have PM'd it before. I have told him on a shoutbox. I'm even pretty sure I've said it on a thread before. 5) I've probably been nicer to him than any of the rest of you seeing as how I've listened to about all of his music and have been fairly constructive with all of it. So, everyone, please get off your high horse.
November 2, 200817 yr See, but I'm nice, and do things in off topic. You're just being a jerk. Maybe this time, sure. But I was really nice about it for about two months. But since I have no interest in keeping a flame war going, let's just agree to disagree. Or not... whatever. Either way, I'm not posting on this thread again.

He helped me write lyrics on a song, but eh this is good for a 14 year old. Wish it could be real guitar but what do you except.
