World of My Own (Incomplete)

Featured Replies

Yay!! I started a new piece again!

And I noticed that my style is quite extreme. So... TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT! =D

The intro is pretty nice.

The turnaround into the more driving bass is kind of weird, but I like it.

The final part leads very nicely into the beginning again.

look at thickening the harmony as the pieces goes on.

I would love to help, but i'm stuck with finale 08 and can't open it

a few things.....

1. bar 11, i feel like the chord would be WAY stronger if you use root position rather than second inversions. ya, that might create a few big skips, but it really would strengthen the chord. (vi6/4 isnt very strong in that situation.)

2. bar 8. uh, its not exactly BAD. but its just that, uh, i dont know about you but i cant stand chords without a third. it makes your harmony sound very thin.

3. toward the end, please switch the D flats to C sharps..... it just makes way more sense that way.

4. adrian, you told me your instinct is "weird". but i think your instinct is pretty traditionally classical. (just look at your choice of chords. you wrote those chords that somewhat makes traditional harmonic sense without even knowing what chords they are! your instinct is definitely not "weird".)

Interesting!
