This is my first piano piece. It's kind of melancholic, kind of Sunday .

This is just my hobby...

Please listen to it, and comment is more then welcome.

Thanks

exellent! very, very nice.

keep your hobby going!

perfect fit video as well.

The left hand gets very boring very quickly. Nice melody, but you gotta vary it up some. And the same chord progression over and over is also very boring.

Welcome to YC

For incidental music this is perfect. It is not overpowering but its presence is known.

If you want people here to comment on your music, it always helps to comment on some of theirs. Some will return the favor, (as it should be) while others are either too busy or too lame to take the few seconds required to type in a response. In time you will learn who will return the favor and who will not.

Hope that helps

Ron

Justin Tokke, thanks for your time, and for comment as well. On one side, I do agree with you, but on the other I decided to leave it like it is, as this is my very first composition. Clean and minimal .

Again, thanks.

Ron, thank you so much for advise, and comments as well. I am not very ambitious, though. I just decided not to be shy anymore and share my little musical creations with other humans :)... My focus is on story telling and emotions. The way I think (in musical way) might be interesting (not just boring) for musicians, since it's not burdened with rules and musical theory.

Thank you van Hagen. I appreciate it.

It would fit perfectly well in a motion picture as the main theme or something. I liked it, it's very dramatic. However, I don't think the video has much to do with it. I thought of something a bit less coloured and more reflexive or imaginative.

But the piece is great, good job!

Pedro

Cannot but agree with justin Tokke ... melody is good, although some variation could be appreciated, yet.... the base line is very monotonous with the same chord heard over and over again. For a first attempt at composing a very good job that is true.

I too agree with Justin. But I must say it's very impressive for a first composition. Maybe you can take in the advice given on your future projects.

Thank you Pedro. It's not made for that video :).

Thanks for your time. Agree.

Very romantic... opening is reminiscent of Beethovens moonlight (very nice, i think). I think the repetitiveness of the material is actually a good thing in this instance.. and works well to ensure the overall feel of the piece. Very good work!

Ahoj Miljan,

si Slovak alebo Cech? Alebo hovoris slovensky/cesky? Kde teraz zijes?

Este raz dakujem za prekrasnu skladbu.

S pozdravom

Filipp.

ps: I think we should keep conversation in English.

Well, I'm so glad that you really felt it... Thanks jawoodruff. You made my day :).

It was good sir.

About half way through kind of had me dazing a little.

I'm sorry I didn't watch the whole video, but I think your chord progressions should change out of that main one IMO. Lets hear some more! :)

Thanks Kyle.

I'll post more very soon.

Thanks Kyle.

I'll post more very soon.

Miljan

oh, I will wait ;)

Has a neat prestigious feel to it, love it. The video is really fitting as well!

Reives, thanks.

Nice job! I can see this music being used for a documentary about someone's life or showing some old black/white reels (say WWII).

Personally, I would liked to have seen a change of key (modulation), at some point, but the variations make up for it.

You got that right. It is background music, ambiental.

Thanks!

Hey, I really enjoyed this.

As has been pointed out, it does get a tad repetitive, but for a first composition I don't think it really matters, you can only get better. I hope you keep it up, I look forward to future pieces :)
