Chocolate Chip(less) Crunch!

Hello everyone!!! I can't explain why I havent posted in God know how long, but it's time to start posting again. I missed YC!!!

Here is my new piece for SATB Sax Quartet.

The piece is based off of the main motif that is set to the phrase, "chocolate chip less chocolate chip cookies." Basically, we bake these chocolate chip less chocolate chip cookies as the piece goes on, ending with a big CRUNCH!

It was a chance for me to step out of the box and be more daring with my compositions and dare to be different from my normal self.

The piece is dedicated to my good friend T.S Doughtery, a dorm mate from Tanglewood who LOVED chocolate chip less chocolate chip cookies.

This is going to be performed sometime in the near future, I'm very excited!!

I'll be sure to post the recording.

Isn't rapid articulating quite difficult on a saxophone? The stuff at 27 would (as I understand) be pretty hard to pull of...no?

At 40, are those embouchure-bends, or buttoney-bends? What sort of effect are you going for?

As others said, a mp3 would be nice.

This seems to have a flow of a free form jazz piece. Everyone has a good idea of the parts they are to play, but still allows for some improvisation.

This seems a bit of a departure for you from your choral pieces, yet still follows along with your style.

If you do get this one performed, I would love to hear it. The human factor would add a lot of dimension to the piece.
