Walking with Myths

Featured Replies

I have started to compile instrumental and atmospheric pieces for my new album, "Walking with Myths." It is the summation of 3 years worth of planning. Currently I am going through all the old MIDI compositions and arranging them with my newer and more elegant sound libraries. I would love to hear your take on them, and how they might be improved upon. The album itself is three-discs worth of instrumental material covering a wide range of emotions and artistic ideals. I only have a few tunes on the site as of now for listeners, but the tracklist will be growing. I am still working on three other projects which are taking most of my time. Production is so fun....:P

Walking with Myths - Listen

It's near the bottom of the page past the other albums:)

Thanks,

Rhodes - I love how the sound of the singing voice sort of transforms into a Kokyu before it fades out. Although I thought the synth at 2:40 was kind of rough, and out of place...Almost like it was too acidic.

Over all, a very nice peice. I like how it subtly modulates between beautiful and dark, tonally. Sounds like something I'd hear on the Sim City 4 soundtrack, and by the way I though Sim City 4's soundtrack was very attractive!

I'll see if I can crit your other songs a bit later, I'm a bit exhausted atm.

Thanks for the listen M.E. - I have heard that same crit on the drum part around 2:40 a couple times. I might need to do some reworking. The song isn't finished yet, so I am open to suggestions. I definitely agree with you on the out of place acidic vibe that it creates...don't know what I was thinking when I wrote it. I write most of my stuff late at night so I was probably in the far-zone. :)
