Hippo Pirate Pillage Song

Featured Replies

So, that's the best title we could think of, but that's because we have no lyrics yet. So, what do you think? We need lyrics, so, basically, is there a general message you guys get from the piece? Send the suggestions here ^^

Hippo Pirate Bread Pillage .mid

Haha. At like 0:45 and a little after it reminds me very strongly of My Sharona. Could just be the underlying bass(?) line? (Sorry, I suck at recognizing midi voices).

Also, sorry to say, I'm not really feeling the whole pirate thing. I'm feeling the drunken urge to pillage bread, just it feels more like hooligan drunken or crazed teenager drunken rather than pirate drunk.

I do like it over all... just the beginning gets a little repetitive. And the one repeating thing that sounds to me like a bass line is definitely repetitive. Try a little more variation there and let your bassist (or whatever he is) stretch his fingers.

She's a bassist who's really a keyboardist ^^

Now, the title was a joke, because we honestly don't have any idea what to shape our lyrics off of. This may do nicely.

It had a very nice groovy feel to it but I thought it was tad too repetitive.
