FH - Op 3 N 8

Featured Replies

Hello !

This a new piece of me, I mad it few weeks ago, I'd like to hear your opinions :D

The Mp3: jesper_007 - FH - Op 3 N 8 - SoundCloud

The Score : FH - Op 3 N 8.pdf

I would definitely remake the mp3. It is just like the MID, but with a different sample.

I think you should spend some time to add dynamics, sustenuto or whatever you want this to sound like.

If you need some advice on how to do so, let me know...

Ok....so

I didn't like this piece, sorry if I sound mean. I think if you varied the left hand A LOT you would see tremendous change for the good. The midi cuts off at the end, was that intentional to end it like that? I can't view the score again on this crap computer, so it may just be the playback. I also noticed very wide stretches in the right hand, playable by some, but not all. I would just keep that in mind. The running 16th notes I didn't care for much either, especially repeated ones. Your transitions could use some molding as well.

Well, that's just some quick things I noticed. I didn't really hear a defined melody either, but that's debateable I guess. To help out, like I said get rid of some of the block chord in the left hand, use inverted chords and such too. It just got tiresome to listen to when I heard root position block chords so often. I don't know your musical background, but if you aren't that familiar with theory just ask me or better yet teh 100 people that log on all the time who know more then I do.

I think what you have is a good rough draft, but now vary up fragments and try and meld them together to make this piece more coherent. Good luck!

Vince
