Multiple Voices?

I have encountered a problem with Finale. How do I write two different voices on the same line when the use different lenghts of notes on the same beat?

Ex. In the bass clef, I want a whole note C but I want to do a steady 8th note rhythm on the same line, in the same measure. How would one accomplish this?

or, conversely, you could do the tutorials that come with Finale, and read the manual that comes with Finale, and learn how to use the programme before asking a basic question.

Thing is, I've been looking through the manuals and, whether by my error or Finale's, have come to no conclusion.

...and the reason you didn't do the tutorials is...? This is one of the first things they teach you after basic note entry.

In fact, opening the Help file, and searching for "Voices", it's the first result. How hard did you search? At all?

Funny thing is, it takes more effort to come here online and start a thread asking about something on finale than it takes to actually search the finale manuals and search for what you're looking for and get an immediate reply. Whereas in the forum you have to wait to get a reply, and you don't even know if the first reply will answer your question. And some people from the forum will re-direct them to looking in the manuals again. So they're essentially just wasting time.

I really don't see why people keep doing this...
