Well, at first the chord progression felt a little wierd. It didn't feel coherent rythmicly. After the melody went up to the higher registers i started to like it. I has some really nice moments, espaccialy in the melody. I enjoyed the way the accompagnement and melody interacted. In all it's enjoyable piece you have here. I still feel there are some problems with the rythmic coherentness of the accompagnement.

I enjoyed this piece very much - it shows that you have put much thought into it. Keep up the good work!

If I were to evaluate this piece objectively, the one thing that it lacks is economy. What I mean is that you have many thematic materials, which is good, but with each one appearing only once throughout the entire piece, it highlights the absence of structure.

I like your treatment of harmony, and the writing is quite idiomatic. I'm not a fan of the ending though. And bars 27, 28, 31, and 53 could benefit from two-voice notation (up and down stems).

This is an amazing piece!

The only thing I could say would be to change the ending. It didn't really work to my ears. Perhaps descending triplets coming down to a very pretty ending chord (Look at some Chopin nocturnes). And as to the Picardy cadence: I think it would be best left out, frankly, but that's your call. Keep in mind that this is my personal opinion, so take it or leave it. :P

Excellent piece!

Cheers,

Edgar

Thank you for the remarks.

So it seems, that the ending is not very convincing, perhaps to not having any short or full recapitulation of the main theme in the home tonality, or maybe the way it returns to it, due to having a prior richer chromatic modulation from A major to B flat minor and then a plainer one from B flat minor to G minor. So having less after having more, in this case, is not a good thing. Or even more, the ending being made with no economy of material or means of modulation stated before in the piece.

I'm glad you enjoyed it nonetheless. I value criticism very much, since it is a good and certain way to improvement.

be careful, also, how you notate certain things: a couple of quarter notes are tied together when a half note would do just fine.
