Very good for your first piece you achieved some nice textures. The chord progression got redundant at times (sorta reminded me of Pachables Canon). I would recommend cutting out the first 8measures where the tuba plays alone, its unnecessary and it makes a boring intro. For the most part this is a really good first piece, keep writing:thumbsup:!!!

You need to post a MIDI and PDF file of your music because not everyone on this site has Finale.

Okay, thanks for the advice and thanks for listening. How do I attach an midi file. Finale only lets me save as .wav or .mp3

File>Save As

Change to .midi instead of .mus.

Nothing in the piece stuck out too much, or made me think "yuck." It was pretty safe, overall. Nice work for a first composition, although I'm curious why the choir is in there when it's never used? :P

That tuba player will be bored forever. I know you must like that harmonic progression, but how about a counter-theme with a new progression? And why is there a SATB choir?

Overall sounds like generic movie background track #17, which could be good or bad depending on your intent. How much theory do you know? Because you seem to have the basic notion of chord progression down.

Just another theme or melody with enough differences to be interesting/refreshing but with enough similarities to not feel completely random or out of place. Like, something in a closely related key (usually V is good - that is, in the key you're currently in, go to the fifth note in the scale, and then change to that key).
