'newborn' composition

a rather simple composition i did over the christmas holidays.

i honestly don't think the name of this piece fits...if anyone has any suggestions...

but i hope you enjoy this piece.

if you have any comments, suggestions, constructive criticism or whatever, please have you say.

and uhm...i attempted to put the music down to score but i was having a bit of a problem. If anyone can help, figure out the time signature to fit the rhythm? for some reason...i get this wierd idea of 8/8 time...

Very nice. Melody is pretty, and harmonies work great with it. It sounds like it came from a Japanese romance anime, or a piece from Yiruma.

And yeah, it's 8/8 or preferably 4/4 but with a lot of syncopation, if that's throwing you off.

Sounds like 4/4 to me. Nice song, really liked it. :)

yeah with the syncopation, it gives me that 8/8 feel even though the beats add up to 4/4 per bar.

this piece was also kinda influenced by some of them japanese music and yiruma simply because i was listening to them music around that time

So my guess was right? What other japanese music do you listen to? Joe Hisaishi? And I think Yiruma is Korean though. But anyway, ya, I'd like to see the score.

well i only started getting a little into those music. i dont often listen. when i do hear one or two, i just draw ideas from them. sooo...yeah the main influences would be yiruma, cos i downloaded a few and....to zanarkand from final fantasy...
