Playful 2 minute wind quintet

Is it playful? Or just annoying? Sometimes you are quite frank in your comments. I like that, so: Please comment! / BR Tomas F.

The broken mp3 link is now fixed. Sorry. Please comment. / Tomas F.

I'm not getting playful from this.

Hey, just listened.

Playful is not the word i would use to describe it.

Some parts of it i think have more of a romantic tone (that may have just been your midi sounds though). For the most part it was nice, but there were some odd passages in terms of harmony, ah...i'm not musically trained enough to really tell you whats wrong in those passages, perhaps nothing is, but it sounded weird to my ear. haha.

To make it more playful, perhaps raise the tempo a tad, and use less minor chords?

It is quite relaxing background music to listen to though.

Definitely not playful. It is very interesting, and some of the harmonies seem a little awkward to me. There seems to be way too much treble, which wouldn't necessarily be bad in a playful piece, but the sustained notes in the higher registers can get slightly grating after a while. If some of the harmonies were more full and featured more lush chords, the high melodies could definitely flourish more.

To make it more playful, as gczhao said, I would raise the tempo, and maybe incorporate some more rhythm. Staccato rhythms under a legato melody or visa versa could enhance the playfulness.

Thanks for your valuable comments. You seem to agree. Maybe I should change the title.
