A friend of mine just put a new synth out on the market. This piece uses his synth (found here SSynth.com :: Sosnowski Synthesizer) along with my staples of GPO and JABB.

I can't explain what I was thinking about when doing this piece. It was mostly just try this or that patch and see what happens, etc.

I am curious as to what scene you might think it depicts.

Here it is

I do like the way it turned out and am very happy with the ease of using his synth.

WAHH! A tonality to the max! haha!

I can't really judge A tonality well, but apparently good serialism comes from it having a structure. Does it have a structure?

wow i like it. (i dont think its a tonal just modal on some diminished scale)

this is really good, again, it reminds me of the old mission impossible series, but like really old sci fi, the ones where aliens become humans and the opposite.

great job!

hmph, you're compositions confound me rolifer. Perhaps i'm just a simpleton, but I like my compositions with conventional chord progressions with the interest added with the melody and percussion. This to me just sounds like 'plink plonk plink plonk'. Again as I said previously i'm probably just too stupid to get it...but then music is about communicating ideas.

This would do nicely in a film i'm working on, it's an 80's horror parody. This would be so perfect, i'm serious. I'm quite envious!

To me this piece, especially in the beginning, has many layers which because of the different timbres lead one's attention off in various directions like a wide screen movie scene does. This creates a mood of activity and complexity, say preparations for some imminent threat, possibly an attack.

I also think there is a slight hint of parody, like a spoof of a B-grade science fiction movie - say "The Attack of The Giant Q-tips" - but not necessarily so.

The piece grows on you as you listen to it.

Are you going to tell us what you think it means?
