Tribute to Kingdom Hearts - String Quartet

Featured Replies

Here is a string quartet tribute to the "Hollow Bastion" portion of the Kingdom Hearts series. It features arrangements of "Scherzo di Notte," "Showdown at Hollow Bastion," "Hollow Bastion," and "Forze del Male".

The piece is of considerable length, clocking in at about 9:00. However, it is often pretty exciting and it is quite varied :D I hope you guys enjoy! Hopefully there are some other VGM fans here

The .mp3 is over 8 MBs, and the .pdf is 1 MB. I've also included a .midi file.

The .mp3 is just the output from Finale 2005, no fancy VSTs or anything. And some of the notations on the .pdf are for playback (such as the crazy dynamics), and would be altered if this were to ever be performed.

I haven't played or listened to the OST from kingdom hearts, but this piece isn't bad, plenty of variation keeps it interesting, even though the instrument sounds themselves aren't amazing hehe.

I guess i would probably enjoy it more if i knew where the themes were coming from, because at times the piece seems to jump about a bit.

WOW,,I really enjoyed this! I love yoko shimomura and i think that your improvement on this piece was amazing. changes in tempo are perfect!
