How is a cymbal roll written within a score?

How is a cymbal roll written within a score? I have searched google but can't find an example. Also, does it matter what line on the staff I insert the roll?

a) Generally a note with those three lines under it/on the stem.

b) There is no standardized line to notate a roll on. Just label it with "sus cymb" or something similar
