Finale PrintMusic 2009 Meter Signature

Featured Replies

So, I came up with this bar of rhythm accompaniment and opened up Finale PrintMusic 2009. As I was setting up all the stuff for the score (key, tempo, meter, etc.) I looked at the meter signatures...and it didn't have the one I needed. The bar of accompaniment I had come up with was in 5/4 (or 10/8, it doesn't matter). So, is there some way I can get the program to make a sheet in one of those meter signatures, or would I have to upgrade? ...or does Finale not support that at any level?!

I had Finale PrintMusic 2008 last year before I got Finale and I was able to create a piece in 10/8. So, you should be allowed to create that time signature in PrintMusic. I'll attach the Finale file of the piece so that you can see. NOTE: You will have to beam everything manually if you are using the 10/8 time signature.

When I open your file, Carlly, it appears and plays in 4/4

I hate that problem too! I don't see why they can't just let you put in a custom time signature. I don't know about better versions. I know Sibelius lets you choose your own.

If you find a solution, I'd love to know it.
