Veronica's Piano

hi... new to this forum. Just thought i'd add a short piece i wrote for piano, never named it... but on speculation, thought i'd call it Veronica's Piano...

Nice. I quite like it. I feel it's somewhat mysterious, and creepy. This should be a harpsichord piece, not piano :D What kind of style were you going for?

erm... i was trying (at the time) to write a polka... didn't turn out quite right, so i went with the flow ^^

This piece in the key of three sharps with the exception of that A-sharp accidental could be considered Pandiatonic.

There's something wrong with some of the chordal structures. The notes just don't match.

I liked this piece alot, with a few exceptions. I found the transition around :43 to be a little rough, and also the last chord completely threw me off, it made the whole piece feel unresolved on my first listen, but other than that I'd say it's a very nice piece.

Some of the chords are indeed quite modern, but the first 30 seconds of the piece are so consonant and modal that these modern chords are quickly percieved as mistakes. At least, it was like that for me. If you make a change in musical language like this, they should be very clear, or they risk sounding like mistakes.
