July 1, 200916 yr Hey there. I'm a composer taking on scoring a video game. I'm looking to imitate a certain feel within a song. I'm looking right now to imitate a song within a japanese animated movie called Rurouni Kenshin. There is a certain part within the song specifically. What I need help with is finding classical musical works that are very similar to the clips, mostly in the emotion of the sad strings that almost cry out at you: http://www.takutogame.com/Images2/SampleF.mid http://www.takutogame.com/Images2/Sample.mp3 I'm not looking for the same exact chord progression or anything, just music that would be in a minor/sad key like Albinonis G minor (for example) and be like 'rising up to the final destination' kind of thing. July 1, 200916 yr I cannot help but wonder, why don't you just experiment a bit on your own on a piano, improvising trough the same or similar progressions, you are bound to find something that you like.
July 2, 200916 yr OMG. I love the sound track to Kenshin! Is that from the OVA? My fav is Sound of Snow Falling: YouTube - Rurouni Kenshin - Falling //// Not exactly classical but it's in the right setting: And look into the Shadow of Colossus OST.
