Etude No.1 in g minor

Featured Replies

Whew, it's finally done...

I'd like to give a special thanks to my good friend caffeine, without it, I'd probably not had have finished.

Ok, so, this is for the YC Etude thing, but I'd like to get some input on what you people think before I submit it.

Please excuse me while I go take a nap, I spent all night finishing it, I've probably been working on this for about 12 hours straight, a new record...

Etude No.1.mid

Very fun! Apart from some notational issues, I thought this was great, except for the last page. It seemed very out of place, and, although I know what you were trying to acheive, I think that it deserves to be re-written so as not to take away from the rest of this great piece.

I suggest you post a PDF, as not everyone has Finale and some people don't like messing with MIDIs.

Yeah...I had a hard time figuring out how to lead into the last bit. Unfortunately, finale notepad doesn't have the ability to produce grace notes,

which is what I was trying to replicate, but kinda gave up. I'm glad you liked the rest though! :D

Also, when I make some changes to the end (doing right now) I will post it with a pdf and mp3.

Very exciting ending to your piece. Nice rhythmic motives working for you. Can you play this in real life, though?

I like the rhythmic force that has your study. and it saw the technical purposes are the third and the eighth

'is very much accessible to students of piano at the same time very exciting .. for his rhythmic approach .. just think the final should be a strong and staccato chord ....

good piece of music
