What piece is this?

Featured Replies

Ha, maybe there should be a sticky for all these requests. Anyway, I can't figure what the heck these two measures are from. I'm pretty sure it's from a light and cheerful piano solo, and I remember that the piece is pretty famous. I must have heard it thousands of times, I just never heard the name.

It could be from anything. It sounds like a scale to me from a technique book or a piano methods book.

I remember that it was a kinda waltzy, classical piano solo. It sounded like it could have been victorian dance music or something like that. That run was followed by several like it, each (I think) starting a scale degree lower. I didn't include that in the MIDI because I'm not sure exactly how it went.

oi gavolt....

How can I tell given that it is only 2 seconds long?
