The music itself is very pretty and a bit incidental (not a bad thing). At a few points I thought I was just listening to the left hand/right hand alone. The score would be a great thing to check out. Chord progressions are standard, i, iv, V, vi. Don't be afraid to step outside of Dm's comfort zone, (relative major?); anyway, good job for 1 year of composition. As you keep writing, write a few more movements! Keep em' coming.

This sonata like many other works on this site has secret potentials, but i will not reveal them, they are......

It's nice; a little gothic and quite pretty. But, 'fraid to say, I'm not really impressed...it sounds background music to an RPG. The writing is a bit boring (repetitive) and got a bit tiresome after awhile, especially with just 8th note ostinati/chords as well as the rather conventional harmonies and melodic ideas.

However, for one year of composing this is pretty good! Keep composing and growing; you got potential. :]

I'm gonna have to agree with what most people have said here and say that this sound very much like something in a game/movie. I love movie and game music, but very rarely do i get a soundtrack that I can listen to stand-alone as much as I can a concert piece. If this is just meant to be an instrumental piece not supporting a visual, I think you need to branch out a little more with this.

ps- I did in enjoy it though, I could hear it orchestrated Philip Glass-like. Choir, synth, and strings, mmmmm :p
