Sounds pretty good. Do you have a score? Sounds like a live recording... is it?

I'd like to collaborate with a choral piece but looking for lyrics. I think some "words" would work well here as well (not just all "oohs and aahs").

I think that sometimes no words make you listen more to the melodies, emotions and atmosphere of the piece, without being limited to a verbal message. I wouldn't liked this piece as much as I do if it had words. In my opinion, this is not a regular song with a structure, so the lack of words is only an advantage here.

But that's just my opinion. :)

Right. But there are some styles of choral music that DEPEND on the lyrics. My music would be NOTHING without the message of the words. Because, my music is just a vessel to move the words through the audience.

It's like poetry, but with the aid of melody.

I understand what you mean, and quite frankly - agree with what you said. If your music is more about the words than about the melodies, I'd say you're more of a poet and less of a musician in those specific pieces (Don't get me wrong, I do not underestimate you as a composer!!:)). And in the opposite case, vice versa. It happens to me all the time. In some songs I write, the words reflect the music. In others, the music reflects the words. Sometimes you're more of a poet, and sometimes more of a musician.

Anyway, it's best to appreciate both poet and musician in you, and give each of them the space they need... ;)

This I know very well! I was just providing a devil's advocate view. :)

And thus I will play God's advocate - "I am glad that you are using your musical talent well, I am glad to see that the theme of heaven inspires you, now what aspect of heaven will you write about?"

Two versions of this song shall be written - One will be instrumental only and will allow people to enjoy the music and think of heaven.

The other version will include lyrics to coincide with you work of art and bring a form of Glory to God.

To be perfectly honest, It doesn't sound like heaven to me. Sure, its tranquil, but not heavenly. And the performance wasn't that spectacular, sometimes the sopranos would be out of tune with the violin on the same notes up high.

The music is nice, I just wouldn't call it heaven, at least not the heaven of God that I think of. It almost sounds more like Zeus' heaven with the dryads and nymphs singing to him.

Well I'm new and wasn't planning on being that judgemental, so maybe it IS the heaven of God when he holds council with the Devil and his demons and it looks like things are going there way but then there is a resolve and we see God is still in control through it all.

Yes, it is. The idea of this music - is a victory of light) Even trought this fight, of some "hard" moments. Its always good) I'm glad, that U like this piece :) Thank 4 all 2 all :)))
