Escaping Hell (Please help)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I hope somebody here knows something about EWQL Symphonic Choirs... Anyways, I'm writing a piece called Escaping Hell. I'm just finishing up the first part, and I'm having particular trouble with the choirs. They just sound...wrong. I mean, I'm happy with how they sound compositionally, but I have no clue what kind, or how much reverb, if any, to put on them. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

The Choir section sounds very disjointed and not very flattering or compelling. I would recommend you repeat less of the material (as it quickly becomes tiring and almost drone like and monotone) and focus on making the choir actually interesting or stick with instrumentals. Most of this piece sounds like copy and paste, the only decently interesting music is the very beginning, which uses the micro tonal dissonance very effectively (if not a bit cliche).

I made a newer version. I took the choirs out for now until I get better at using the program. I'm much happier with it.

Wow... this is cool :D I can't wait to hear the finished product... you definitely caught the "Escaping Hell" idea!

As for the chorus sounds, I don't know how I could help... I don't really know that much about fiddling around with sounds...

Keep it up!
