Basura for 3 marimbas

Here's a couple of small marimba trios. I think there'll be at least a third movement down the road...

By the way, "Basura" means "trash". Tirela and tirelo both mean "throw it away". I figure I could also get "tirele" and "tirelan"- maybe four movements.

thats pretty stimulating,,,youve got some pretty cool ideas in there. i love the dialogue between the marimbas,,rhythmically its pretty intense. id say maybe try to end on a higher climax,,both movements just seem to "disappear" with no real conclusion reached.

I love how the sound of the marimbas makes the shifting tonal centers and polytonality sound very organic. I can say the same for the rythms: there's a lot going on, but it still has a very coherent, somewhat trance-like feeling, thanks to the steady beat.

I like it. Would make nice film music also.
