Electronic/Orchestra-Victory March

Featured Replies

Hey-

Just as an experiment, I tried to do a piece with an electronic drum beat. Link: Victory final mix.mp3 - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage

I like this very much, it certainly sounds like victory! But I don't hear the electronics, maybe a score would help :)

The drums were all that there were that were electronic.

I like it, it's....almost like "Rock/Orchestra-Victory March" then electronic haha

Good work, but in my opinion, it is kind of too mellow to be a victory march... I would put in some more aggressive drums, and wouldn't use so much minor chords, they give that mellow feel to the whole thing. What I do in these situations, I tend to use sus chrods instead of minors, it works good, makes it sound martial. Also you definately need some staccato strings here and there :)

I thought this was a fitting piece for a sort of victory march. It reminded me in a way of Zimmer's piece for a similar scene in Gladiator, although I think his was actually more melancholy.

It felt a little short though and the snares in the beginning could use some mixing. Actually the sample was pretty nasty itself, I would recommend replacing it. Also, during the sort of climax/louder segment in the middle the percussion sounded almost muffled in comparison to the brass instruments.

Still, good work! Just needs some fine tuning. :)

Wow. That's EXACTLY what I would say.

Except more... a lot more... Rock-ish? lol
