September 14, 200916 yr Okay, not really. But what is your favorite string color to use when making reeds? I have this really nice neon pink and also a hunter green that I've become quite fond of recently.
September 14, 200916 yr Red screams lame and crappy. Hunter green (like a camo-green as in my avatar) is actually a colour I like a lot. It complements the tone of the cane very well I think. Not that I make my own reeds... or play oboe, but I semi-play bassoon, and have lots of bassoony friends.

It reminds me of those god-awful Jones reeds that you play on when you're a beginner.
