La Cinquantaine

I'm a beginner composer and long time music enthusiastic. I've been doing experimental work with known melodies -rearranging them- or write from scratch.

This brilliant piece was always in my favorite list. I believe it was originally written for piano but this humble arrangement of mine carries it to pop style with some accelerated rhythm.

As a flute player I placed the instrument at center as my future goal is to make an album with various melodic songs played by me.

Well, in the 1st place, in order to get some comments ( rather than asking for them) you should comment on other people's work as well. You comment theirs, they will return the favor. That's from what I know and I'm sure there will be some more people that might tell you that.

As for the piece, I did enjoy it. Yeah, a bit pop-ish for my taste but nice. The guitar, though I find it too simple. Be it electric guitar or classical guitar... I think I'd get bored to play that. You could make it more interesting and by the way, I couldn't really hear it. Turn it up a little, even though from your post I did understand that the flute is the main instrument.

So yeah, nice work, keep it up!! That album might turn into something nice, why not? :)

You're right I'm being a bit selfish here but it's really first time I ever present my work to real composers.

Otherwise I'm just a self-taught music enthusiastic who plays flute at home and do weird things with his keyboard and PC. :)

I think, drum set is unnecessary. You can find other ideas for "filling" this piece, except drum set.
