3rd movement piano concerto

Featured Replies

Hi to all!

Here is the 3rd movement of the piano concerto in d-minor,

its about 5 minutes long, but its more ambitious then the first two movements, I suggest to listen it at least twice to get the right picture.

I hope you will enjoy it, feel free to comment.

I really like that man,,,sounds great,,,, excellent dialogue between orchestra and piano... keep up the good work!

wow,

its like yiruma does piano concerto!

sorry but i didn't like the new theme at 2;13 (about there) felt it was corny and didn't fit.

and when it came back at 3;36

loved the interaction between the piano and the orchestra.

it had grace, movement and motion, all of which i admire.

i wasnt so inspired by the orchestral intro.

the ending i felt was a bit of a let down, you had this wonderful build up, with those repeated chords and then nothing, i wanted that final push.

but, good though.

I think this is fantastic work: it kept me hooked on it through out the entire movement. I like how your piece constantly goes in different directions, but it doesn't ever change just for the sake of changing: each part was equal to every other part! :)

I am impressed, however you must keep the dialogues with the orchestra are so obvious,

I really like, , you're a pianist?

the end would be better if you add more virtuosity and powerful sound with orchestra

I must confess I dont know yiruma, so I had to google for him :-) Thanks for your comment, I like both themes, maybe I will at in the coda more epic orchestral conclusion in the finale refinement.

Thanks natangren,

I tried to emphasize the piano part in the 3rd movement since in the 2nd movement more cooperation between orchestra and piano was intended. Maybe I will add more brass and woodwind at more places.

BTW: I play the piano but very very bad, so pianist isn't the right word. I even cannot play my solo piano pieces by my own :-)
