Untitled in E-Flat Minor

I'm from Singapore and this is my second composition. I haven't thought of a title yet but could use some suggestions. I do not study composing nor do I have a teacher. Could someone tell me where I should start - perhaps a beginner's guide to composing?

Well, I hope you will enjoy it.

Happy holidays

Wow: I would love to see a live playing of this! That would be fun to see! xD

I love the frantic, exciting pace: it kind of reminds me of a Charlie Chaplin mishap in the silent movies! :D

This is only your 2nd composition? :O Wow...this is very good work for someone with years of experience composing, I believe!

You show a lot of promise. Very cool!

As to where you should start...hm...I would experiment like hell. Try out different patterns and harmonies. See what excites you! Then, of course, you could bone up on theory...but don't burn yourself out! Theory can help you be more musically "efficient" (i.e. knowing what won't work before you waste any time) but some of my favorite works are ones written by musically "naive" (untrained) composers. They are unfettered by rules and wherefores. Go for it!

I just got my hands on Sonar and I'm trying out the truepiano soft synth on this piece. I must say I'm thoroughly impressed!

Out of curiosity, which composers' influences do you hear from this piece?

Very, very impressive! It sounds like some kind of an etude, like something Chopin or Liszt would have done.

I am very, very jealous of your composing skills. ;) Seriously, how many people's second compositions are at this level?

My only advice would be to increase the space between the staves on the score. Some of the notes intersect each other and make it difficult to read the score. Other than that, I can't think of anything else I'd change.
