I should give an update haha. I contacted the Perth branch of a Japanese Game Company based in Osaka. The reason they have a branch in Perth is because I think Perth is the sister city. Anyway, so I have contacted the Perth

Rep and he said there are a lot of projects, and they have no composers in Perth. So yeah. I am trying to get a job at a company called Floor.

To tie in with the song linked. Kayla (girlfriend) is now is in close contact with Youmi Kimura (Always with Me) composer/performer, and from the recordings I have done with her in the past, Kimura-san was really impressed with her voice so far. To top that off, she got a Ghibli Application form and a personal message from Miyazaki-San saying that he liked how she could speak both Japanese and Italian haha. Although, I don't know that full content of the letter. Either way, they are both interested in her voice, so I am writing some songs for Kayla's voice. This isn't recorded yet, so the vocal line is doubled by another piano. Enjoy :)

Oh yeah, comp description! haha. It's basically using only 2 chords though the entire songs, the melody operated on I think...Lydian mode most of the time, or at least A mode haha. Also the very last note is used to create a touch of dissonance haha. Because I'm mood breaking like that ^^ So yeah. Minimalism, Modes and Dissonance ^^ Kayla's voice will transform the piece though. Oh, Iro means colour, so it ties in with the piece too :)

Sweetness. Best of luck of with your job offer!

Very colorful... lol

Did you record yourself playing [the piano] in this?

Yeah, but not that fast!! haha.

Its beautiful.. I love the sound of the piano and the melody.

It reminds me of anime melodies definitely.

For listening only I would just sit back and relax to this soaking in the mood.

Good job.

Thanks :) I'll hopefully get the vocals recorded sooooooooooooon

Final Fantasy came to mind from the very beginning.

I like it. Relaxing stuffs.

Hey,

first of all i want to say the melody sounds very nice and sweet. I am really curious how it would sound when someones sings to it.

However, I think you should vary in accelerating and slowing down. I think you are going somewhat too fast in general too ^_^. I cant keep up with the pace of your music.

At the end you slowed somewhat down, and there I like it much more! Somewhat more jazzy feeling I think.

I hope you can use my comments, and if not, I wish you all the best in applying for your job!

Kind regards,

Hugo

Thanks for the reply. Personally I wouldn't apply what you suggested, but I can see where you're coming from.
