December 7, 200916 yr I liked this scherzo. Especially the first theme. The second feld a bit to old-fashoined. But thats a matter of taste I was suprised by the final chord. Why end in minor. I think I expected a major chord with added augmented 4th, like the end of prokofievs 4th sonata, first movement. Although that is in minor. But I hoped to get a bit of the lydian in the final chord.
February 1, 201016 yr This has great kick to it It swings too or wants to. The piano accompaniment in the second more lyrical theme is maybe a little dry.. could be spicier. You clearly have a spicy side to you so I would let the lyrical theme be harmonically more varied and the melody a little more angular? That would make it more like Porkofiev as someone else said and maybe you not interested in that Good work! I think you have a flair for scherzos

June 23, 201015 yr hehehe, funny sherzo i guess. its like you just had a ton of anger or something and made it into music....am i right? This piece isnt beautiful, but it got some emotions that are unique. as for your instrumentation i must say i like it. It wouldnt be the same if you had a flute or cello to play it. the first theme could be used in some sort of shortfilm. maby a little scary or mysterious one. keep up the good work and i would like you to tell me when you post more pieces
