I Will Make You Understand

Featured Replies

Beethoven has always been my favorite composer and while playing the final movement of his first piano sonata (Sonata in F-Minor, Op. 2 No. 1) I decided to experiment and create a track using parts its themes on piano with help from a killer drum beat, bass, timpani, some synth leads, strings. The real piece IS in F-Minor so I had to rearrange/recompose some aspects of the first half down to C-Minor to fit a more contemporary style. After the break, it modulates to its tonic and finishes out as written by Beethoven.

Wow! This is really good! A cleverly handled and mature approach at mixing two very different styles: nice.

Beethoven is one of my favorite composers as well ;)

This is crazy. You did an amazing job mixing the styles and I can't really say anything else that will not make me sound redundant in saying that this is amazing.

Yeah the mixing of styles is good,

The pieces is good within the musical aspect, ... but you audio needs a few things, some things are too loud and distor other elements, I think is the distor-bass what is making all this, check using speakers and then earphones while adjusting the balance of each element.

Very good like everyone has said! Needs some singing/rapping! It might be nice also if at some point there were some filters are some on the piano part. As it is now, the piano part is kinda separate from the rest of the beat and the more electronic elements, it might be cool to integrate it more (or play with how much the two styles become one style), but of course it's fine how it is.

First of all, Wonderfull! The beginning is like, what is going to happen and then Boom, I like it , keep up the good work, I like to hear more of this kind. <3

HA HA HA !!!. Definitely a crazy stuff yet fascinating.I think I'll be listening every one in a while so it goes to my playlist. Nice job.

nice!

I like how you took the motifs from the piano and used the synth's to support it and add to it.

composition wise you did a great job, the synth's support the piano perfectly, the bass is very dramatic and adds a lot, but lacks dynamic.

Personally I don't like the drums so much, I think they're over-monotonic and repetitive, which would normally add to the style you've used to support the piece. but personally I think it contradicts it too much, and get tiresome fast.

the biggest problem with the track however, is the mixing. volume wise- you need to tune a lot of the instruments down. the piano should lead along with the synth's but it get's swollen by the bass and drums.

a small tip: when working with electronic instruments it's extremely important to equalize and or compress almost everything.

the bass for example is way too distorted, I advice you to tune down the distortion, and equalize it, then take the volume down a notch.

A very good job, you're obviously a composer, not a sound man therefor the problems with the sound are completely understandable.

Again, very good job, good track very enjoyable.

looking forward to hearing more.
