February 2, 201016 yr Author I composed/arranged this for my girlfriend and our 5 Month Anniversary. I hope you enjoy this song as much as we enjoyed our past "152 Days!" 152 Days Part of this is based off of Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring.
February 2, 201016 yr Kyle, can you upload again? I'm getting an error when I try to play your work. Also try to avoid consecutive posts since you can simply edit your first one.
February 2, 201016 yr sounds sweet. I specially like the section around 1:50-2:15. I liked this section because of the more interesting harmonies there. Well done. Further I heard a lot of I IV and V all in root position. And that becomes a tad dull after a while... for a more thorough review I need a score to look along. What did she say?
March 13, 201016 yr There is some interesting feature to the score you send. The orchestra is quite big, considered what you do with it. There is the majestic outburst, which is fine (although there could be improvement on the orchestration) some considerations on the strings to start with: There are no violas; why? They are used to fill the natural gap between violins and celli. You have written the cello past relatively high. When written relatively higher than the other strings they stand a bit more clear out, against the others. A quick glance showed that the cello part could be given to the violas without altering any note. Besides that. You have octavated the whole bass part. The bass is relativly soft, dividing them is not advisable. The Celli could play the upper notes you gave the bass now. easy fix, huge improvement on playability and sound
